Water Main Break Closes Schools

Earlier in the school year the Kanawha County system was dealing with air conditioning problems. On Monday is was trouble with the water that closed two schools. McKinley Middle School and Weimer Elementary School were both closed Monday because they didn’t have water after two water main breaks caused outages. The first water main break happened on South Fort Drive, and then another on Kanawha Terrace near St. Albans early Monday. A boil water advisory was in effect, and the two schools had to call off classes. Students should be back today.
