Weather Impacts Start of Ski Season
Unusually mild weather is delaying the start of ski season here in WV. The economic impact that skiing brings to the Mountain State is huge. Some $250 million is generated over a five-month season. Ski resort operators are looking for snow. Weather permitting, Snowshoe plans to open up Friday, Dec. 11, while Winterplace, Canaan Valley and Timberline plan to open up the following Friday, Dec. 18.
