West Virginia ranks near the bottom in a national survey of healthiest states. The 2017 America’s Health Ranking Annual Report ranks the mountain state 46th in the country in overall health. The state ranked last in Drug deaths, obesity and smoking. Massachusetts is the healthiest state in the country.
