West Virginia’s population is declining

West Virginia’s population is declining faster than any other state. A study by the Pew Charitable Trust shows that West Virginia has lost 18-thousand people over the last decade. Nearly three-thousand people moved out of Kanawha County, alone, last year. The study ties the loss to slow economic growth.
