Widening Project Comes to I-64
Changes are coming to I-64, and you’ve got a chance to hear about it first hand at a meeting next week. It’s a widening project on Interstate 64 that is expected to help with some congestion in Putnam County. A public info meeting will be hosted by the West Virginia Division of Highways next Tuesday, May 17 at Rock Branch Elementary School at 4616 1st Avenue in Nitro. On the table is the proposed widening of a 4-mile stretch of I-64 from the new Interchange at Crooked Creek to east of the Nitro Interchange. Tuesday’s meeting is open to the public and runs from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
