WV Launches Campaign Highlighting Pet Friendly Places

State tourism officials have launched a new campaign about pets. Last week the division kicked off its “West FURginia Fridays” campaign that asks people to share photos of their pets exploring parts of the state for a chance to win a pet collar and have the photo featured on the division’s social media websites. Division outdoor recreation specialist Will Miller tells the Charleston Gazette-Mail that the idea came from callers to the state’s tourism call center, asking for information about pet-friendly places in West Virginia. The division’s social media websites will announce weekly collar winners at noon each Friday. Pet owners can send in photos to GoToWV@wv.gov.
