WV National Guard Heads to Islands to help

Several members of the West Virginia National Guard are heading to the U.S. Virgin Islands to help victims of Hurricane Irma. Fourteen guardsmen and women left for the island of St. Thomas Wednesday night. Leaders say they’ll be helping assess the damage to local buildings as well as getting water and food to citizens.
