WV Power Plants
U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry says coal-fired power plants are important for the country’s future, and he suggests that energy supply will lead to demand. On a visit to West Virginia, where he toured one of the few recently built coal-fired power plants in the U.S., Perry said Thursday that the plant’s technology provides “the ability to deliver a secure, economical and environmentally good source of energy.” He said the nation needs a stable baseload of electricity.
