WV Scam

A word of warning is going out about a new scam in West Virginia. Attorney General Patrick Morrisey says to hang up the phone if a call is received that says “Can you hear me now?” The scam depends upon a “yes” from the consumer, which is then recorded and misused as an agreement to pay for a product or service. The scam is circulating throughout the country, including the northern West Virginia area.
