WV Tax Revenue

West Virginia officials say the state’s tax revenue is about 20-million-dollars below projections. The latest numbers reflect tax revenue from August, the second month of the fiscal year. Officials with the Department of Revenue said the shortfall was due to falling gas prices and a decline in personal income tax payments. Still, the revenue is about 20-million-dollars ahead of the same time last year.
