Yeager Airport May Add a K9 Officer

Yeager Airport may be adding new safety measures, including another law enforcement officers. At a meeting this week the board talked about adding another officer that would have special training and work on special projects. They’re also considering adding a wildlife canine to keep rodents and geese off the runways. The K-9 Flyaway Geese unit will cost $7,500 and the dog is in training now. The Military and Public Safety board approved of both measures, but they will be brought to the full board on March 28 for final approval.
