Yeager Airport to Get FAA Grant
Yeager Airport is set to get a $3.7 million Federal Aviation Administration grant for projects including an aviation school and air freight facility. The Gazette-Mail reports the airport is also set to get $412,000 from the state for the projects, and is working with Marshall University to create the airport aviation education program. The funds also will be used to create a two-lane road that will allow drivers to access the 25-acre plot of land where the school and other developments are planned. Other projects include additional hangers and an aircraft maintenance center. Work could start this year.
