AG Warns of Scams Involving Football Tickets
If you’re holding a football ticket for a college game, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey wants you to be sure it’s legitimate. Be cautious if you’re buying tickets from third-party resellers this season, whether it’s for a WVU game or Marshall. Both schools have policies in place forbidding the scalping on tickets on university property. And Morissey warns about posting a picture of your ticket online. Some scammers can replicate the barcode on your tickets and create their own. To report a scam, call the Attorney General’s office at 800-368-8808.
