Registration is Open for Charleston Distance Run
The Charleston Distance Run is coming up in a month. The run is now in its 45th year, and is expected to attract runners from across the country when it returns Saturday, September 2. Runners will start on the 15-mile course at 7:30 a.m. on Kanawha Boulevard across from the West Virginia Capitol , and the course will take runners through downtown streets along the Kanawha River, through the South Hills section which includes some challenging ups and downs, and then the runners return to downtown and finish at Laidley Field. Competitors can choose between the 15-mile race, the three-person 15-mile relay and the 5K Run and 5K Walk. Registration is open now on the CDR website.
