Woman on Drugs Hits Huntington Police Cruiser

The officer wasn’t hurt, but a Huntington police cruiser leading a funeral procession was hit by a car Saturday afternoon. Huntington police said the driver of the vehicle was overdosing on heroin when she crashed into the cruiser at about 3 p.m. Saturday a the intersection of Washington Avenue and Hal Greer Boulevard. Eyewitness News says the driver of the vehicle was charged with DUI, one passenger was charged with permitting DUI and a third person in the vehicle was charged with using intoxicating substances.
