A Small Change for Live on the Levee

City leaders in Charleston are making a behind the scenes change to the way the Live on the Levee event operates. The money needed for related expenses used to come out of the general fund, but with that comes restrictions on the way the money can be spent. So the city council voted to set up a separate bank account for Live on the Levee, and sponsorship money will be deposited there and and used to cover expenses with less red tape. The concert is free to the public each year.
