State Bar Investigates Mingo Lawyer

Lauren Thompson is the daughter of Mingo Judge Miki Thompson, and is under investigation for contempt of court. And this week the state Supreme Court ruled she can’t work on anything new while the State Bar investigation is going on. Thompson was found to be in contempt of court after failing to file a series of timely responses in cases where she served as a child’s guardian ad litem. The Gazette-Mail reports the work ban will be in effect as long as the Office of Disciplinary Counsel is investigating, and until any disciplinary action finishes.
