Schools Closed for a Sixth Day

West Virginia’s superintendent of schools said Wednesday he expected all public schools to be in session Thursday, but all 55 counties will be closed for a sixth consecutive school day. The Associated Press reported West Virginia Education Association representatives expressed teacher frustration over pay raise proposals and health insurance benefits as reasons they wouldn’t return to classes. More talks are expected today.
