Guilty Plea Entered in Hit and Run
A Glen Morgan man has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a hit-and-run death. Austin Ray Redden had been charged with first-degree murder. The Register-Herald reports that Redden pleaded guilty to lesser charges of accessory to murder after the fact and unlawful wounding in Raleigh County Circuit Court this week. Redden also agreed to testify against his brother, Willis Wilson of Princewick who is charged with first-degree murder. Witnesses told deputies that they saw a pickup truck intentionally swerve and hit the victim before fleeing. A criminal complaint says Wilson was driving the truck and Redden was a passenger.
