Drugs Within Reach of A Child; Charges Follow

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Enforcement Unit arrested three in a drug bust in Hurricane this week. Brittany Johnson, Joshua Perkins and Mitchell Kiman are facing charges after deputies found lines of heroin and needles within reach of an 18-month old child. Detectives said while they were inside, Perkins got text messages from someone waiting to buy heroin outside. All are facing drug related charges, and Perkins faces a child neglect charge.
