South Charleston Increases Sales Tax

Shoppers will soon see an increase in the sales tax in South Charleston. On Monday, West Virginia Home Rule voted to allow a 0.5% increase in the South Charleston sales tax. This will raise the city tax to 1%.
The raise will take effect on July 1, 2016.
