Counterfeiters Sentenced to Jail Time

Two more women are in trouble for passing fake bills. 36-year old Nyteria Green of Ohio, and 27-year old O’wynn Rogers of Beckley each have to spend time behind bars. Three years for Green and a year for Rogers, according to U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin. The two pleaded guilty to passing bogus $100 bills at several locations in Beckley, including Crossroads Mall in Mt. Hope and the IHOP on Harper Road. Another woman will be sentenced Feb. 24, after admitting to passing counterfeit bills in Beckley and Charleston, and another Beckley woman is already behind bars serving time for a similar crime.
