Online Petition Aims to Change Name of School Named After Confederate General

This is related to the confederate flag controversy. There’s a petition online that wants to change the name of Stonewall Jackson Middle School in Charleston. General Jackson was a confederate general during the Civil War, and died in 1863. If the petition gathers enough signatures the organizer will take it before the school board. There’s also a Facebook page that has popped up aiming to save the Stonewall Jackson name.
