Firefighters buy recliner

A Facebook post by a local firefighter has gone viral. Members of the Alum Creek Volunteer Fire Department posted pictures of a recliner that they bought for a man who seriously injured himself. Firefighters were responding to a call about a man who had slipped and fell in his yard. When they got there, they found the man had broken his back, and he couldn’t get out of the chair. As the firefighters tried to move him, it broke. Alum Creek volunteer firefighters all pitched in their money to buy him a new recliner from Big Lots.
