Two women had 100K in luggage

Two women traveling from Los Angeles were detained at Yeager Airport Tuesday morning after more than $100,000 was found in their carry-on baggage. Yeager Airport officials said in a news release that Transportation Security Administration screeners were alerted when they spotted something in the luggage and airport police were called. The money was discovered during a search. The women had traveled to Charleston from Los Angeles two days earlier. The money and the women’s cell phones were confiscated pending the completion of an investigation.
