Emergency Operations Center Opens to Monitor Weather

Kanawha County’s Emergency Operations Center opened up early Tuesday to monitor flash flood warnings and assess damage, and it will remain open as needed. The Kanawha County Commission says in a news release that the EOC got many calls about high water, but no significant damage. Some rescuers were sent to Lincoln County to help with high water issues. They send the reminder not to drive through high water and report any downed power lines to 911.
