Fallen deputy honored

A fallen deputy is being honored in Putnam County. Larry Miller was killed after an accident with a drunk driver nearly a decade ago and the new “Deputy Larry Eddie Miller” award was presented Wednesday, during a county commission meeting. Sergeant Shane Shamblin was the award’s first recipient, which goes to the officer who has the most DUI arrests. Shamblin made almost three dozen drunk driving arrests.
