Patrols Increase Thanks to Grant Funding

You may see more flashing lights on the roads this week. The Governor’s Highway Safety Program has provided funding high visibility patrols in areas of Kanawha County where most crashes occur. This week deputies started patrolling I-64 between Dunbar and Institute hill and I-77 north and south of the Edens Fork exit. Chief Deputy Mike Rutherford said they’re hopeful these patrols will result in fewer speeders, more conscientious driving, and fewer crashes.
