Murray Energy Layoffs

Several thousand Murray Energy workers are facing layoffs. The mining company issued four-thousand notices at the end of last week. Murray Energy operates mines in six states, including ones in Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, Harrison, Marion Counties in West Virginia. The “ongoing destruction of the United States coal industry” is the reason a Murray Energy statement gave for the pending layoffs.
