Charity shutting down

The U.S. Attorney’s office is shutting down a fraudulent charity in the Eastern Panhandle. A 53-count indictment was handed down yesterday against seven people from Martinsburg. The fake organization operated for nearly seven years and collected more than seven-million-dollars. According to the charges filed, nearly all of the funds went into the pockets of those who were indicted.
