Sobriety Checkpoint Set for Tonight

Heads up for drivers…there’s a high visibility sobriety checkpoint planned for tonight in Kanawha County. The Sheriff’s Office has teamed up with the Governor’s Highway Safety Program to watch for drunk and impaired drivers from 7pm to midnight on WV Route 25 near Institute and Nitro. This is part of the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office’s Zero Tolerance policy, when they randomly conduct checkpoints throughout the year.
