Vacant Building Gets Remodeled After 20 Years
A building that’s been empty for a long time in downtown Charleston is getting a new look. Member of the Charleston Area Alliance joined Mayor Danny Jones this week to announce that the former site of Ernie’s Esquire Supper Club will be remodeled. Structured Financial Associates bought the building at 16 Capitol Street and they have plans to remodel the building to include offices for a law firm, along with their own office space. The Charleston Urban Renewal Authority and Charleston Main Streets are also supporting the project. The building has been vacant for 20 years.
