West Virginia lawmakers are scheduled to address tax reforms this week. A bill introduced late last week to the Legislature by Republicans to eliminate the state income tax will be put under the microscope and a WVU economic expert told a committee meeting Friday a simple approach is probably the best way to go. John Deskins said a broad consumption tax in its place could help residents save money and spark the economy.
