Affordable Care Act

Neither West Virginia senator is in favor of scrapping the Affordable Care Act. Senator Capito said that she did not come to Washington to hurt people, and tossing the ACA out would not be a good choice. Senator Manchin believes both parties need to keep working to find a replacement healthcare plan. Senate President Mitch McConnell says he is looking for a way to repeal Obamacare now and worry about a replacement later.
