Big Art and Craft Fair Changes Dates

Organizers of the Mountain State Art and Craft Fair hope this year’s schedule change helps. The fair was moved from its traditional early July dates to avoid steamy weather. It will be held Friday through Sunday at Cedar Lakes Conference Center near Ripley. Fair spokesman Mike Ruben tells the Parkersburg News and Sentinel that organizers also wanted to get more kids involved and invitations were sent to schools in surrounding counties. Ruben says organizers believe the move also might make it easier for volunteers to devote time to the fair.
