Bridge Day to Draw Crowds on Saturday

It’s coming up this weekend…Every third Saturday in October for more than 35 years, the Bridge Jumpers have taken off from the New River Gorge Bridge. BASE jumpers make parachuted leaps from bridges, antennas, spans and landscapes, and it’s the New River Gorge Bridge’s turn on the 17th. It’s rapelling and skydiving that is an economic boost for surrounding restaurants in Fayetteville; expected to draw hundreds if not thousands of spectators to the town of 2800.
