Damage Estimates from June Flood
Damage estimates are rising from the late June flooding in West Virginia. State officials last week said nearly 13 million-dollars in damage is what they’re looking at in 12 counties, with a lot of it due to mudslides. Marshall, Ohio and Wetzel counties were the hardest hit, but the troubles are widespread to many locations. Federal funding will pay of much of the repairs and they’re in the process now of prioritizing the work.
