Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Warns of Another Scam

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of a new phone scam. Someone calls claiming to be Lieutenant Lance Watson with the Sheriff’s Office and he tries to get money. One of the numbers the caller uses is 304-504-2991, and even though it looks like a local area code the call is probably coming from another state or country. It’s best to hang up.
