Football Player Hospitalized After Collapse
A Mingo County football player collapsed Monday on the first day of practice. 15-year old Dustin Ferguson is a sophomore at Mingo Central High School, and as of last night he was in the ICU at Cabell Huntington hospital. Ferguson and a teammate were running sprints beside each other during the first conditioning practice of the season when he collapsed and was revived. He’s in serious condition at the hospital and his kidneys are being closely monitored. Heat and dehydration may have played a role.
