George Washington Band Wins Competition

Congrats are in order for the George Washington High School band. The students won the top honor Tuesday night at the 72nd Annual Gazette-Mail Kanawha County Majorette and Band Festival for the second straight year. Bands from all eight Kanawha County public high schools competed at University of Charleston Stadium at Laidley Field. The annual event raises funds for local high school band programs.
