Greenbrier Conference Draws Big Names
The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce is holding a conference at the Greenbrier right now, and economist Arthur Laffler on Wednesday, urged the state to cut personal income taxes as a way to stimulate growth. The speech came as part of the Chamber of Commerce’s annual business summit, with business owners, lobbyists and politicians in the crowd. Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin also spoke Wednesday. Former Vice President Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz – Former State Dept. Assistant Secretary – are speaking today. Attorney General Patrick Morrissey gives a few remarks on Friday.
