Greenbrier River Trail Opens Again After Floods
A trail that opened in 1980 and closed after last year’s floods is open once again. The Greenbrier River Trail runs for 78 miles, and it’s been reopened to bikers, hikers and horseback riders. The Gazette-Mail reports an 11-mile section of trail south of Anthony in Greenbrier County was the last spot to open after a landslide buried it. The Federal Emergency Management Agency covered 75 percent of repair costs. The trail also flooded in 1985.
