Home invasion suspect in custody

The man accused of attacking a woman with a crowbar during a home invasion is in custody. Forty-one-year-old Russell Slater is charged with attempted murder and robbery. Slater forced his way into a home on Park Avenue Sunday and beat up a 65-year-old woman and stole a gun. The victim has been released from the hospital.
