Investigation Launched Regarding Former Archbishop

A Catholic Diocese in West Virginia has a new leader. Following the resignation of Bishop Michael Bransfield from the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, Pope Francis appointed Archbishop William Lori this week as the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese. The Pope also asked for an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment against Bishop Bransfield. Archbishop Lori is meeting with clergy and lay leaders of the Diocese again today.
