Libraries Still Recovering After Floods
Clendinin was among the hardest hit areas during the June floods, and they’re still assessing the damage. The library was wrecked by flood waters, and a mobile library has been set up with dozens using it every day. They’re still evaluating whether the permanent library location will be able to reopen. The Elkview branch of the library at Elkview Crossings Plaza was impacted by the floods too. The building wasn’t damaged, but the road that leads to Elkview Crossings was. Library officials are working with FEMA to cover the losses.
