Man Arrested in Plot to Overthrow State Government

Thomas Deegan of Wood County is facing charges in a plot to overtake the state government. Deegan was arrested Tuesday on terroristic threat charges and WCHS TV reports he’s a member of the Sovereign Citizen’s Movement, which is on the FBI’s domestic terrorist watch list. There are recordings of Deegan planning with other members of the Sovereign Citizens Movement to remove government officials from office, try them for treason, and potentially killing them if found guilty.
Deegan is currently being held in the North Central Regional Jail on a $300,000 bond.
