Man Faces Animal Cruelty Charge
A St. Albans man pleaded guilty to one count of animal cruelty stemming back to an incident in June. 43-year old Joseph Carl Massey agreed to an Alford plea, which means he admits guilt and accepts that the prosecuting attorney has enough evidence to convict him. A puppy suffered head trauma after being kicked and thrown. Massey will face between one and five years in prison when he’s sentenced Nov. 15.
