Manchin not joining Trump

Senator Joe Manchin is not joining President-elect Trump’s cabinet. The Democrat had been rumored to possibly take on a role in the new administration but said yesterday after meeting with Trump he will stay in the Senate. Manchin says he believes he can best serve the country and West Virginia in the Senate and plans to stay there. He was reported to be one of the top choices to become Secretary of Energy but former Texas Governor Rick Perry was nominated for the post.
