Mayoral Candidates to Debate Ahead of Nov. 6 Election

With a month to go in the campaign season, Charleston mayoral candidates are getting ready for a debate. Republican JB Akers and Democrat Amy Goodwin have agreed to a debate Oct. 16 at the Charleston Civic Center Little Theater. WCHS/WVAH-TV, AARP West Virginia, Charleston Area Alliance, Charleston Main Streets and The Charleston Gazette-Mail are hosting the event. The debate is free and open to the public and admission is first come.
