Natural Gas Production Rising
Natural gas production continues to rise in West Virginia. Numbers released by the state’s Department of Environmental show an upward trend in 2016, jumping by two-and-a-half percent from the year before. Doddridge County was by far the largest natural gas producing county in 2016, followed by Wetzel County and then Marshall. The West Virginia Oil & Natural Gas Association said yesterday the increase is solid but is behind that growth seen in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
